Wato is the governed workspace for AI agent memory, MCP access, review workflows, and traceability.

With Wato, teams can store reviewed memory, control which MCP tools agents can use, approve changes before they become trusted context, and audit agent activity.

New to Wato? Follow these steps in order:

  1. Create a team
  2. Add team memory
  3. Submit memory for review
  4. Approve the proposal
  5. Connect Wato to your AI client through MCP

The Getting Started guide walks through all five.

Why this matters

An AI client connected to Wato does not get unrestricted access to memory or tools. Wato applies the team's permissions, keeps draft changes separate from reviewed memory, and records activity through traces.
